FarmVille, Mafia Wars and YoVille invade 7-Eleven: First images of Zynga Slurpee machines and more
Yup, that's what you think it is -- 7-Eleven Slurpee machines plastered with images from FarmVille, Mafia Wars and YoVille. This history-making campaign marks the first big real-world push for any Facebook game and will likely be a big driver of Slurpee sales (and other snacks) during the promotion's six-week run. Games.com - The Blog! friend Eric von Coelln snapped these pics at his local 7-Eleven, and it really looks like anything that doesn't move has been plastered with FarmVille logos.
In his blog he wrote:
"I've been plenty busy lately (and thus blog-free for a while now) thanks to a new job with a game company here in New York City. But when I saw that Zynga was entering a partnership with 7-11 to promote its games, I knew I couldn't escape Zynga's grasp in my off-line world for long: They invaded the 7-11 around the corner from me."

FarmVille: New adoptable Mouflon Sheep
Tonight the FarmVille Mouflon Sheep started wandering onto farms! There is now a chance that this new lost and roaming animal will show up on your farm. If it does, you will have the option to share it with your neighbors. You will not be able to keep one for yourself. Lost and roaming animals are available by adoption only.

Tonight the FarmVille Nursery became a true building with purpose. When harvesting the Nursery Barn there is now a chance for your calves or foals to grow up. However, your foal or calf will grow up into an all new adult animal. For example, a Pink Patch Calf does not grow into a Pink Patch Cow.

Playdom acquires social gaming startup Hive7
Hive 7 and Playdom
Playdom is on a roll with partnerships and acquisitions lately,and tonight a press release has revealed that they have acquired another social gaming startup. Hive7 is a San Francisco-based, True Ventures funded startup that has had small success on Facebook with applications such as Knighthood and Chivalry. This is the fifth acquisition this year for Playdom, following Three Melons (who developed Bola), Acclaim Games, Offbeat Creations, and Merscom.
According to Hive7's website, they have an upcoming game titled Zombie Chomp. They also claim to create social MMO experiences. Thus far, Playdom's games have not been grand in multiplayer scale, so it is possible that Hive7 will allow Playdom to venture into the synchronous virtual world arena.
It will be interesting to see how Hive7 help contribute to Playdom's battle against Zynga.
